Turning on Trackbacks and Comments

Apologies dear subscribers. But I need to be able to see them to fiddle with the design.

Like the post, I need actual comments so I can tweak the design (yes, half of the fun [or more than half] for me has been designing and refining this blog).

Speaking of this blog, I think it's safe to say that it has proven its worth these last few days. Specifically, I check it at least once every day. Scroll down through the technorati and blogsearch results for anything interesting, and just like that I'm reporting the scoops before anyone else. But I'm not trying to be the leader of the pack or anything. Late start, switching blogs midstream, no comments until now, and I'm not a dot com (strange to me that people give dot coms more credence, but they do). What I am trying to be is useful to me. Translated, that means 1 site where I can access what I've found to be useful and get at a glimpse the latest. And like I said above, it's working pretty well. Based on my sitemeter, I look to be on a few people's favorites. That makes me happy, imagining my regular readers looking at this blog the way I do, not as something/someone to tell them what to think, but as a useful resource in deciding for themselves what to think (i.e. the actual blog posts by me are sorta beside the point).

So anywho, I see a few of my filters in the sidebar haven't proven their worth, and the poll is a dead duck. IOW, the place is due a good cleaning. I'll be doing that. Imagining there are a few constant readers out there who are glad to finally be able to say "Yo.", please do and let me know what you like/dislike/find lacking about the place.
